After being nearly wiped out in the United States and other parts of the of the world by DDT a half century ago, bedbugs are back-and with a vengeance, generating thousands of high-profile headlines and TV news reports across the country. They've infested hotels and motels, office buildings, nursing homes, college dorms, single-family homes, and even schools, movie theaters and airplanes.
